    Every year is an opportunity to write a new chapter in your life.

    This year, the chapter of my life was called 'The Disciplined Dad.'

    At the end of 2022, I asked myself a few crucial questions:
    • What have I learned?
    • What do I want more or less of?
    • What does success look like in 2023?
    I reviewed my life and the questions according to my top three priorities:
    1. Physical health
    2. Family
    3. Business (RNT)
    2023 was always destined to be a year of levelling up. Becoming a dad forced me to change how I think, act, and operate.
    The hard part isn't getting what you want. It's figuring out what you truly want in the first place.

    With goal setting, I've learned that waking up on New Year's Day isn't the way.

    That's a fast track to falling into the trap of New Year's Resolutions. To set goals you can achieve, you must go beyond resolutions.

    For me, that means spending 30-60 days pondering what I want so that when January 1st arrives, I can hit the ground running.

    30-60 days helps sift through the excitement of fleeting ideas and allows me to determine if a goal is worth pursuing.

    For me, this year, it was simple:
    1. Compete in a Muay Thai fight
    2. Be an active dad (evaluated by my wife, Chandni)
    3. Grow my business
    As I write this, I'm on track to achieve all three by the end of 2023.
    I proved this method works when I achieved my goal of peak physical condition on a vegan diet last year. 

    The reason I've had better success of late with my goal setting is twofold:
    • Simplifying my goals
    • Creating more accountability
    I didn't shy away from letting everyone know about my fight this year.

    Why? Because there are three layers of basic accountability:
    1. Self (your motivation)
    2. Peer (the people you share the journey with)
    3. Coach (your trusted advisor)
    I checked all three boxes. But I've always found a fourth layer takes it to the next level:

    Public accountability.

    Whenever I've pursued something that scared me, like a fight, I've chosen to document it live.

    That led to the creation of my 'Road To The Ring' [link] series this year.
    There were days during preparation when I wanted to do anything but spar, run, or train.

    But I also knew failure wasn't an option.

    As my toolbox of transformation methods has expanded over the years, our members also benefited.

    This year is no different, with countless RNTers achieving their best year on record.

    Take Devin, for example. He began 2023 weighing over 100kg, desperate for the energy to excel as a husband, father of two, and dedicated professional.
