Pooja wasn’t content with her body but didn’t know how to change this. It was time that she felt confident on the inside and out…
Deciding to Change
Pooja had a fairly active lifestyle but wasn’t happy when she looked in the mirror.
Even though her diet was “healthy”, her weight went up and down.
“I had quite an active lifestyle but didn’t like how I looked as I yo-yoed a lot even, though I was eating ‘healthy.’ What I defined as ‘healthy’ at that time was having a high-carb diet.”
As she was getting older, Pooja also began to see more and more people around her with health problems.
This wasn’t what she wanted for herself and knew that focusing on healthy living would be the answer.
But she wasn’t sure how…
“I wanted more from myself. I knew I lacked knowledge about the nutrition side of things.”
But weight loss wasn’t the only thing Pooja was worried about.
She wanted to live a happy long life without any problems getting in the way.
“I also was getting older and people around me started having a lot of health issues.
“Working late at night, not giving sleep any value or the rest of my adherence to my daily routine. It was a juggle and how decision fatigue is a thing.”
RNT had the solution…
“I was following RNT on social media for a while and was impressed with their great content.”
Once she saw her friend’s transformation, she knew that she had to start the programme!
Starting the Process
As Pooja went through the process, there were challenges she had to face.
She particularly struggled to lose weight over the weekend.
“It would always go up slightly and then I had to keep restarting every week. It was like one step ahead and two steps back.”
However, her coaches kept her accountable with weekly check-ins and day-to-day support.
Her customised roadmap accounted for all of the setbacks that she began to face.
“It was a slow process. I just had to take control and go for it.”
Living with her in-laws also meant that she had to say no to a lot of sugary and fried foods.
“The worst part was that since mid-June, there have been too many celebrations.
“I live with my in-laws so the amount of sugar and fried stuff around the house was so much.”
Changing her Mindset
RNT transformed the way that Pooja viewed fitness.
Instead of spending hours doing cardio, she learned the importance of strength training.
“For me to say NO to that was something and sticking to it, it was because of the end goal vision all the time.
“I was a cardio fanatic and never knew anything about strength training nor its importance.
“Significantly how macros impact my diet and not having enough protein in my meals or the awareness of it.”
Powerful Photoshoot
Pooja’s photoshoot was her way of showing herself how far she’d come.
She saw this as her chance to show all of her hard work and, for the first time, got in front of the camera!
“Being a photographer myself, the point of the photo shoot was to get into fitness photography and have a feel of being on both sides of the lens.
“This was massively out of the comfort zone for me. First to hit that lean physique, second to direct the whole shoot and third to be a model. This really pushed me.”
It was a challenge for Pooja but she was proud to have gone through the process and couldn’t be happier with the photos.
“It has been a dream come true, on all ends of my world. This year has crazily brought a lot of links together for me that work hand in hand.”
