I have worked in the field of Customer Services in the Telecommunications industry for over 10 years as a Team Leader. While I enjoyed the work, the hours were long and the time was erratic. As a mother with 3 young children I found juggling between work and home quite stressful. So much so, that I suffered from rather severe panic attacks.
I knew that something had to change so I decided to shift course and find a position which would enable me to work from home. I took a few courses and trained as a virtual assistant after which I was fortunate enough to start working for RNT Fitness.
Working at RNT was a real eye-opener. I realised that in the 16 years of being a mother I had never thought about self-care and I now see the root-cause for all that anxiety - I never prioritised myself. I knew that I had to make a change and RNT showed me the way.
At first when I started working with RNT my role was more administrative but as I got more familiar with RNT and it’s inner workings my focus changed to being more of a data analyst. The truth is, I love numbers, I enjoy identifying patterns in the data. Akash has this wonderful ability of bringing out the best in people and when he realised how keen I was to be involved on a deeper level, my role changed and I became Operations Manager.
This new role resulted in a surge of confidence in my own abilities. At RNT every team member goes through the fitness journey. I went through my RNT journey, and as predicted, my entire life changed. My panic attacks completely stopped and I felt more in control of my life.
The changes that were brought about in my life while being an integral part of the RNT team has given me new drive: to apply my energies and make sure that RNT’s message ‘the physical is the vehicle’ reaches out to more and more people. Playing a small part in transforming the lives of so many people across the world gives me so much satisfaction and joy. This is why working at RNT isn’t just a job, it’s a lifestyle that brings out the best in everyone.
