1. What were the series of moments that led to your “trigger” moment to begin your journey with RNT?
Over the last 3 years my clothes were getting tighter and I had jumped to the next size.
I felt like I needed to do something about this, but didn’t take action. It bothered me a little but not enough to take it seriously.
Then when the photos taken at a friend’s wedding were shared, I could not believe how big and round I looked! I couldn’t even recognise myself.
That’s when it struck me, I needed to sort myself out before I ended up with a whole bunch of health issues like high blood pressure, diabetes and chronic back pain. This was my turning point.
I have always said that I wanted to fit into the 30 inch waist trousers I wore in my late teens but didn’t know how to get there.
That’s where RNT came in, I dropped not just one but many sizes and went from 34 inch jeans to 30 inch!
2. What were your biggest problems before starting RNT?
Lack of accountability and zero motivation.
I’d be good for a few weeks; making an effort to go for walks and control my food. Sadly, I’d run out of steam quickly and go back to my bad habits.
After going through the RNT process, I realise how fitness and nutrition have to go hand-in-hand for me to make any progress.
3. What has the process been like, and the biggest challenges and obstacles?
When I started there were many questions in my head. I wondered if this process would work for me: a vegetarian who doesn’t eat a lot of dairy and a foodie! But once I started the process, things started falling in place.
The hardest part was the first two weeks. It took a lot of effort to adjust and adapt to the programme. Once I passed this, I knew my direction and goal.
4. What almost kept you from joining?
I was very sceptical! You see many fitness programmes being advertised, and the one question in my head was, is that change possible? Surely the photos shown aren’t true and have been changed using some sort of computer software. I’m glad I didn’t listen to that and trusted in the stories on the website and signed up.
