Having the self awareness to compare your ambitions with your actions and realising that they do not compliment each other is rare.
Terry had been hiding from this harsh truth for a while.
And then one day, he found himself considering surgery just so he could look the way he wanted to look… that’s when the penny dropped.
He could hide the truth from his family but he couldn’t fool himself any longer.
He needed to stop thinking about the shortest route to looking good and start thinking about a holistic way to feeling great!
This major change in mindset was the push he needed to sign up to the RNT programme.
“I have the most confidence I’ve had in decades now thanks to RNT”

1. What were the series of moments that led to your “trigger” moment to begin your journey with RNT?
There were numerous points throughout the last 5 years that all built up to the moment. The single day, though, was when I called a plastic surgeon to inquire about liposuction and the ensuing conversation I had with myself after that call about how I would hide the fact that I had lipo from my kids. I was ashamed of my body, and ashamed that I would consider surgery as an option. I knew then that I could no longer lie to myself about being able to get in shape alone.
2. What were your biggest problems before starting RNT?
Stated simply, my biggest problem was eating without accountability. There are many factors that led to this behavior. I ate when I was bored, ate when I was tired, ate when I was stressed, ate to celebrate, and ate to hide social anxiety. Eating was what I turned to any time I needed support.
3. What has the process been like, and the biggest challenges and obstacles?
The process has been great, honestly. I love the framework of the 5 phases and how that creates structure. The fat loss phase was a dream come true for me because watching the fat melt away was pure motivation. That doesn’t mean I executed flawlessly - I’ve learned that very few people are flawless - but when I did fall off track, it was easy to get back on it because the pounds were dropping steadily under the guidance of my great coach. My biggest challenge has been The Consolidation Phase because the physique is no longer the goal.
4. How has the physical been the vehicle?
In my line of work, I am asked to lead incredibly talented people and inspire incredibly creative people. For me to be successful in that endeavour, I need confidence, and that confidence begins with my body. If my physical is crushing it, I am much more comfortable standing before my peers!
5. What almost kept you from joining?
Ego. Despite all the proof stating otherwise, I still thought I knew enough about how to get in shape to do it by myself.
Skepticism.
Surely this program was just another fake. Surely this program was just trying to take my money and deliver a carbon copy workout and diet plan that I have seen online a million times.
Denial.
Surely I don’t look that bad. I can still hide the weight.
Fear.
What if the program is real and I fail? What will that mean for me and my identity?
